Whileit seems like the dusthas only justsettled on the set of Hell’s Kitchen - Fox is crankingout GordonRamsayagain next month, in season six of the hit television show.This series,I believe was filmed at the startof thisyear(and anothershot straight afterit) and willappear on US Television on July 21. This, by my calculations,makes it a Tuesdaynight insteadof the normal Thursday night - I’m unsure of what thismeans in terms of ratings - but I’m sure the tabloids willreport it as a decreasein GordonRamsay’s popularity!

First prize thisyearis a job at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler,British Columbia, Canada, a locationthat GordonRamsaysaidin interviews earlier thisyearthat he wanted to openhis own establishment.This isn’t a new restuarant;, it ope&#110ed;in 1981 and is already an established dining locationat the baseof Blackcomb and Whistler peaks. The job willcommence in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics to be held in Canadaand thuswillincrease their workload and exposure, under the supervision of ExecutiveChefJames Walt.

This season willhavethe standardformat of 16 competitiors,boysvs girlsformat,but we are told the initial signature dishcompetitionwillbe a teamchallenge- a surefireway to provideeven morefireworks amongst a group of competitiveprofessionalswho havejustmet and are trying to stand out!

The Red Teamincludes Amanda,a twenty sevenyearold Sous Chefwho lives in New York, NY but is originallyfromVancouver,WA and Ariel is also a 27 yearold Sous CheffromLos Angeles,CA. To keep with the tradition of havinga few contestants with ‘uniquenames’-twentythreeyearold ExecutiveChildren’s Camp Chef‘Lovely’ fromChicago, IL willjoin twenty sevenyearold linecookTek fromNew York, NY (originallyChicago, IL). Melindais a thirtyeight yearold private chef fromPhiladelphia,PA, who’s hometownis nearby Chadd Fords. Texan Sabrina, the thirtyfouryearold Restaurant Manager in Phoenix, AZ willwork along sidetwenty fouryearold Suzanne who is a Sous Chefin Las Vegas,NV, quite differentfromher hometownin Milwaukee, WI. The finalmember of the Red Teamis Tennille, who is an executivechef,is 28 workingin Fairfax,VA.

The boysteamwillfeature thirtynineyearold executivechef in Boston,MA - Andy who’s hometownis Seattle, WA as wellas DavefromNew Jersey, a thirtytwo yearold ExecutiveChefcurrently workingin San Diego,CA. Other BlueTeammembers include thirtyfouryearold Jim,a sous chef residingin Nashua, NH and Joseph, the 27 yearold sous chef fromMassapequa Park, NY. Kevinis a thirty-fiveyearold executivechef originallyfromPlymouth, MA now residingin Middleton,CT and Louie,who owns a dinerin Fitchburg, MA. Tony is the thrity yearold Culinary Store Manager born and bred in Chicago, IL and Van is the twenty six yearold fish chef,originallyfromBuford,GA now livingin Dallas, TX.
