A muscle building diet is one of the easiest of all diets to get right. One thing is for sure is that even though they are quite easy to put together and follow, most people haven't figured it out yet. Most people think ok, I just need to eat more calories than I burn and the extra calories will help build muscle. You are probably nodding your head as I right this and say that's right Matt, I agree!!
Are you sitting down? If not pull up a chair and get ready for a lesson.
The statement above is partially true. However, would you prefer to put on muscle and do so in a way that you don't gain a gut in the process? Or would you prefer to do what most people do? That is to get on a muscle building diet add 5 pounds of muscle and 15 pounds of fat, than jump on a cutting diet and lose 5 pounds of muscle and 10 pounds of fat, back to a muscle building diet and probably act as if you are a dog chasing there tail. You'll just go around in circles folks.
My first suggestion is never try to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. It's really not feasible and it makes it harder to get your main goal achieved. However, if you follow one of my plans properly. Properly meaning doing exactly what I tell you to do and not skipping or leaving any part of the plan out because you think that is the way should be. You could gain lean muscle while you go on a cutting diet and you could lose fat when you start a muscle building diet. So It's possible, if you have the right plan that is.
As an example, let me show you an example of a muscle building diet:
Male
Weight 175lbs
Body Fat 15%
Exercise level 1 hour free weight training x 5 days per week
Total Calories Daily 3757
Total Grams of Protein 282
Total Grams of Carbs 376
Total Grams of Fat 125 (1/3 Sat 1/3 Poly 1/3 Mono)
When using this, make sure you count the protein/carbs/fat grams and don't worry about counting calories. Hitting the mark on the grams will equal the total calories you need. Secondly, its not just about calories. I assure you that 3700 calories of fruit loops Vs. 3700 calories will give you a totally different body and end result.
So what's the formula you ask to get those numbers? Find out more info here: <a href="http://www.sportsupplementsecrets.com/5_fitness_tips.html">Fitness Tips</a>
