Of this I am sure. You always hear people say slim down. Sure, I'm guilty too. It just seems like a subject that many people dance around. For some, it makes perfect sense for them to try to lose muscle because they want to.

Isn't As Much Muscle As Possible Supposed To Be Gained?

You never hear about losing muscle, with all of the talk about losing weight and losing fat. In a negative sense, is the way that the term "lose muscle" is used. According to almost all of the information that the media provides, more muscle is preferred to less muscle.

Nine Years Ago, I Lost Over 25 Pounds of Muscle

My story is that I spent the first 12+ years of working out to try to get as big as possible. I couldn't find clothes that fit right, I felt heavy and slow, and I was tired of carrying around all of the extra weight. I also realized that it wasn't an attractive look and being that large made it look like I was trying too hard. It took me close to a year to slim down. Over the past nine years, I've carried around a lower degree of muscle mass, and I feel and look far better than before. Here is the way that I accomplished this:

I Dropped All Direct Resistance Training on Legs

This one was a tough decision, because guys who only train their upper bodies can be a subject of ridicule. When you have large legs, just about any kind of resistance style exercise will allow you to maintain that size. Doing lunges, or employing light weights will work. I also tried low rep training. Generally, training with low repetitions won't noticeable increase muscle mass, but where legs are concerned, employ more caution.

Best Muscle Loss Techniques : Marathon Cardio

Marathon Cardio is what needs to be done to begin to lose muscle mass. By doing steady state cardio, in a medium to high intensity on a treadmill for a long time period, this is known as marathon cardio. Aim for 45-60 minutes at as fast as rate as you can handle for that period of time. Marathon cardio is used by boxers to "make weight". It is really referred to as road work, but it is very high intensity running for a long time period.

A Calorie Deficit Will Speed Up the Process

By consuming less calories during this time period, you can really see results faster, just don't over do it. It's also smart to reduce calories every once in a while in your regular diet, as it allows your digestive system to detoxify itself and recuperate. Just don't eat anything before you begin to workout, and not right after exercising either, you should wait about 1-2 hours before you eat anything.
