Many people suddenly find themselves with the need to lose fat and build muscle in a hurry. Perhaps a holiday springs up and you want to buff up for the beach, or perhaps you've landed a date in a week or two and you want to impress them that extra bit with your bulging biceps. Whatever the cause, it is possible to lose fat and build muscle in a hurry, as long as you follow a few guidelines.

1: Get into HIIT

There is no excuse, for anyone looking to lose fat and build muscle in a hurry, not to get involved in some HIIT (High intensity interval training). HIIT has long been known as THE most effective way to lose fat and build muscle, particularly when you're in a bit of a hurry and want to see some speedy results.

HIIT involves mixing high intensity exercise such as sprinting, jumping jacks or up downs, with rest or low intensity exercise. The routine I use is to run for a minute, sprint for 15 seconds, and repeat. There is many ways you can go about HIIT, as long as it mixes hard work, with light work. The body gets worked harder, and gets a little confused at the same time, so it's forced into action, and this action is losing fat.

2: Watch your diet (but no need to be a freak)

People always say that if you ant to lose fat and build muscle in a hurry you need to eat right, and this is no lie. What is a lie, however, is that to be successful in shaping the body you want, you must follow crazy fad diets or eat as little as possible. All you really need to do is be a little sensible. Eat plenty of fruit, high protein foods, and avoid empty carbohydrates such as fast foods.

As long as you're fairly sensible with your eating and resist fast foods and fatty snacks at least 80% of the time, you should start dropping fat fairly fast, and will be able to lose fat and build muscle in a hurry.

3: Do a good Full Body Workout 3 or 4 times per week (Luckily it only needs to take 15 minutes)

As well as getting into some kind of weights routine (if you're after some size gain) it's also a hugely beneficial idea to do a full body workout, 3 to 4 times a week. A good full body workout only needs to take 15 minutes, and ideally is performed at a high intensity. Full Body workouts burn fat far more effectively than attempting to "spot" burn fat (for example doing huge amounts of bicep curls in attempt to shed fat around the area).

4: Grab a helpful Supplement

An unfortunate fact is that if you need to lose fat and build muscle in a hurry, supplements are probably going to be a requirement. There are supplements on the market that are designed to get quick results, unlike the vast majority of supplements that only aid the user very slightly in muscle recovery.

Ideally, you want a supplement that reduces fat and is designed to stimulate muscle growth, and these do exist. There is a need to be careful however, as taking powerful supplements with no intention to work out usually leads to undesirable results.

5: Putting it all together

The worst thing about reading an article like this is that it gives you a mind full of things to remember, and no way to put it all together.
