I used to wonder how to make my arms bigger…You see, around 7-8 years ago I weighed about 46 kilos. In pounds that's about (gasp!) 105 lbs!
My arms were like bean sprouts back then!
Presently, I weigh 171 lbs and loaded with a couple of 15 inch guns. Okay, okay, I admit… 15 inch arms are nothing to shout about but hey… it is relative you know.
After all my height is only 5, 10 so the 15 inch arms look alright on me. PLUS, they look much bigger and much better than when I was at 105 lbs – obviously.

Now the question is…How did I learn to make my arms bigger? What did I do?
No problem. I'm going to give you some proven guides to help you increase the size of your arms…
First you're going to have to pack on some extra mass/gain more weight in order to add inches to your arms. If I'm not mistaken, the general rule of thumb is 1 inch for every 10 pounds of bodyweight.
Let's face it, you're never going to get a monster 18 inch arms if you weigh only 150 lbs! To gain more mass, you have to take in more calories than you burn daily and go on a high-protein diet.
Now let's talk about workouts…
You know, about 7 years ago, I was hunting for info on how to make my arms bigger, and I read somewhere that one has to do 8 sets of barbell curls in order to increase biceps size.
That's an awful lot of sets to do for a small muscle group! Only genetic freaks or pro bodybuilders would benefit from that number of sets.
Instead of doing lots of bicep curls, I recommend you focus the majority of your efforts on powerful compound exercises like chin-ups, dips, deadlifts, barbell/dumbbell rows, bench press, squats etc.
These are proven mass-building exercises that will help add inches to your arms if done properly.
And when training your arms, I suggest you pick 2 different bicep exercises and perform only 2 sets PER exercise. That should suffice because your arms will get enough growth stimulation from doing the aforementioned compound exercises.
Remember to curl the weight in a controlled fashion. Avoid using momentum – you should only feel it in your biceps!
